Kurt has been participating in Special Olympics New Jersey for 30 years. He has played softball, basketball, golf, bowling and bocce. He also attend the NJSO Athlete University.

In 1995 Kurt won a bronze medal at the SO World Games in Unified softball. In 1999 he won a silver medal in Unified Bocce at the SO World Games. In 2014 he won 3 bronze medals in Unified and Singles Bocce at the SO USA Games.

Kurt has been working at Marshall's for 23 years. He also works for the Gloucester ARC at Camp Sun N' Fun for the pass 12 years.

Kurt was awarded the Dave Ravel Memorial Award in 2013, in recognition of an individual who has accomplished a personal goal and achieved great success, by The ARC in Gloucester, NJ. He received this award for his father who passed away when he was only 8. He has helped his mom with his 2 younger siblings and continued to be successful at school, work, and Special Olympics.

Kurt loves watching his favorite teams play, Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He also likes to play card games and go shopping.... especially for a deal!
