Matt has been coaching and playing tennis as a Unified partner with Special Olympics for 5 years. Matt is a practicing attorney, and previously played Division 1 college tennis for Rutgers University where he graduated in 1987. Matt also still plays tennis competitively, winning a silver medal at the Maccabiah Games for the United States, and regularly competing in USTA league tennis and tennis tournaments. Matt is married to Nancy Gitterman who also volunteers with Special Olympics, and they have three children. Matt's youngest son John currently attends the University of Michigan, and John also competes as a unified partner with Special Olympics. Matt is looking forward to competing as a unified partner in tennis for Team NJ at the National Special Olympics in 2022!
